Herbert von Karajan used to say that everyday he had to learn something new! If nothing new was on then it used to be a lost day. In all his life he had an agony about the future! He just made it with the technology to leave a legacy of recorded videos with his performances. He invested a lot of money and time on this project created editing studios in his house at Anif in Austria. There he personally worked on many productions initially published by Deutche Grammophon and Unitel as Laserdiscs. Later a big part of this project went to Sony. The value of these performances is questionable. Karajan being very old now , struggles to present what he marvelously did for the last 50 years. Unfortunately, it is not the same think.
