The news of Lambrakis death had a very sad impact on the friends of music in Greece and elsewhere.It was he, with his tremendous musical education and knowledge,who realised the need of a music hall in Athens,a concert house similar to the Eueopean ones.His undoubtful influence on the Greek Goverments,made it possible to finalize the construction of a very modern ,complex and really expensive concert hall right in the heart of Athens.
Agnes Baltsa who was asked to comment on the tragic news of Mr.Lambrakis death, was brokenhearted and stated that after Herbert von Karajan , now she has lost the second most important person of her life,who had a grat contribution to her career.
