JOHN BARRY is one of the most succesfull musicians of our time and his music has marked the cinematic and the audiophil art.
Since he started in 1960 up till now everything he touches is turning to gold.
Unforgettable musical experiences were accompaning the James Bond films making the action more vivid and cruel.
Apparently Barry was always frustrated and disturbed over the James Bond theme whose ownership finally went to Monty Norman,by court`s decision.
Nevertheless it was evident that his talent was much bigger ,as he composed nearly a new theme for each one of his films.

As my friend vapsomallias noted that he prefers Harry Palmer than James Bond, i remind him that the IPCRES FILES THEME also belongs to Barry.

Αγαπητέ Χρήστο, με αφορμή το αφιέρωμά σου σε John Barry/James Bond, πρέπει να πω ότι, μολονότι βρίσκω τον Bond λιγάκι υπερβολικό και "υπεράνθρωπο" για τα γούστα μου (προτιμώ οπωσδήποτε τον Harry Palmer...), θεωρώ ως καλύτερη ταινία του αυτή που κράζουν όλοι: το On Her Majesty's Secret Service (και ως καλύτερο Bond τον "ξερό" Γεώργιο Lazenby)...
Oντως Το ΟΝ ΗΕR MAJESTY ήταν μια υπέροχη ταινία και αν σ`ενδιαφέρει εχει την μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία που έγραψε ο JOHN.Αν το ακούσεις απο την ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA ΘΑ SOY AΡΕΣΕΙ ΠΟΛΥ.
O HARRY PALMER είναι η πιο everyday hero ΕΚΔΟΣΗ του μυστικού πράκτορα με τον αχτύπητο Michaell Cane.
Ο Lazenby o kαυμένος μάλον δεν άρεσε στις γυναίκες.
Ομως είδα οτι έχεις καινούργια ανάρτηση.......μας περιμένει σοβαρή δουλειά,ο νέος βαψομαλλιάς πρόκειται νά απάσει τα ταμεία.
Μα ναι, Χρήστο, γι' αυτό αρχικά ξεκίνησα να γράψω και το ξέχασα. Η συγκεκριμένη ταινία έχει το καλύτερο score Bond πιστεύω (καθώς, βεβαίως, και το We Have All the Time in the World με Armstrong). Το δε τέλος της ταινίας είναι από τα καλύτερα της σειράς (για μένα το καλύτερο) δείχνοντας έναν ανθρώπινο και ευαίσθητο Bond. Συγκινητικό τέλος...
